February Smart Targets

Smart Targets

What went well this term?
I have managed to turn in all of my coursework on time, every time (even for my A Levels).

What didn't go well this term?
I haven't been able to focus a lot in my Music Studio Class and I'm finding it hard to retain information, e.g, Grant would ask what we have learned within the past couple of weeks and I just have no idea on what has happened and have to rely on other students replies to recap and remember information. There's a lot going on in that lesson (a lot of buttons) and it's hard to remember how to set everything up properly.

Targets:

Music Industry is going well for me and I'm able to concentrate well and understand what Chloe is talking about and it's easy to retain the information. My target for Music Industry is to further read the book and to have completed it by half term in the summer.

My target for Studio is to take notes in every class for the next few weeks (until the end of term) to have revised all of them notes by the end of the holidays.

My Target for sequencing is to learn as many shortcuts in Logic as I can in the time to be able to control the programme better and to do this by the holidays.

In November, I set myself some SMART targets these were:

1: To get to know Logic Pro better and to have composed some tracks by the end of the academic year.
I have got to know Logic Pro better, I know a lot of the shortcuts and I'm able to navigate around the program a lot better, I do still have to learn the program more if I wish to be able to use it all the time for  my coursework and my productions. I have yet to produce a full track in Logic but I have composed a  piece that involved producing some music and sound effects for a cartoon chase scene.

2: To understand the music industry better, to buy a book and to have read it by Christmas.
I have understood the music industry better through being taught in my lessons (and through writing my coursework), I did buy a book but I didn't read it by Christmas, I still haven't read all of it, but I have read some.
